Now Playing | MYX Daily Top 10 (October 25, 2011)

This is a very random post about the current music hits in the country (local and international) courtesy of MYX Daily Top 10 October 25, 2011 edition. My music taste is different than yours so respect my opinion.

Number 10:
Masasabi Mo Ba by Rachelle Ann Go
A love song about a person doubting the love of their lover, so cliche right? One thing I don't like about OPM songs is that they sound all the same to me and I can find a song better than this one but you really can't deny how good the voice of Rachelle Ann Go is. I also think this song will click to some emogirlzzz00123 out there.
Number 9:
Hindi Kita Iiwan by Sam Milby
Another sad love song in the list. The song tells us about someone who yearns for someone's love who is already in some other's arms. The lyrics is not forgettable and I really believe that a simple and unforgettable lyrics is a factor to make a song successful. About the singer, Sam Milby's singing career is not that successful like Piolo Pascual's but obviously his voice is much better than Piolo's.
Number 8:
Criminal by Britney Spears
I've listened to this song on repeat when Britney's album went out last March. It is one of the best songs in her album that is why I was happy to hear that she is making it her 4th single. A song about loving someone putting aside all the bad things about him/her. The song is of course auto-tuned but what can I say? Britney is Britney! She's on the track again.

Number 7:
Delivery Boys by Someday Dream
Heavy auto-tuned, inappropriate title, the lyrics are messed up, how come did this song penetrate the top 10? It's not even catchy unlike their Hey Daydreamer song which is also heavily auto-tuned. I have nothing good to say about this song and i don't know the singer.

Number 6:
Forever Young by Sam Concepcion
Sam Concepcion has gone a long way to his singing career, one thing i'm envy about him is that my Taylor Swift hugged him *sniffs*, anyway, the song is catchy even though the chorus is repeated many times in the song just like JB's Baby, the lyrics is not forgettable and it makes sense because I can relate, I really want to be forever young.

Number 5:
Jet Lag by Simple Plan ft. Natasha Bedingfield
The song was released last April and the music video was out also by that time, I played it about a hundred times already, tweeted, shared it on Facebook back then and I was just wondering why did it only click now? It's like 4 or 5 months from it's debut and it is really a good rock-ish song from on of my favorite bands Simple Plan *planning to watch their concert on January 2012*. Very catchy, one of my faves in their latest album, great lyrics and amazing voice collaboration by the two artists.

Number 4:
A-Cha by Super Junior
jakpa mokcha kapchu ichka lagnhu hanto hoiam.....Didn't understand a single shit *sorry SJ fans*, i've only understand these words and phrases; "Oh my gosh, baby, love crash, original", not even catchy like Sorry, Sorry or their other songs. That is why I posted their Music Video instead of only the music/song so that you will be entertained by their dance if the song doesn't interests you.

Number 3:
Louder by Charice
No one can deny how powerful Charice's voice is, she can nail every song she sang just like this one. She really has the TALENT. It was not destined for her to win Little Big Star because her destiny was the international arena. I'm wondering why this song has not been getting the attention Pyramid got. This can pass as one of my feel good song very catchy chorus.

Number 2:
Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay by Sponge Cola

Not a fan of this song, it's sounds familiar, the downside of OPM is they sound like other OPM songs but i like Spongecola. Yael has this distinctive voice you can decipher when listening to him. Bitiw is till my favorite song from them, rocks my world.

Number 1:
Ako Nalang by Zia Quizon
She really sounds like her mother. Her voice is nice but will not become popular in the coming years if she doesn't become versatile, just like her song, if you play it on repeat you feel will satiated and i don't like the TagLish lyrics.

P.S.
The new VJs bore me, VJ K-La annoys me, the other girl VJ is not funny and VJ Mike lacks energy.

Personal | Four Days and Nineteen Hours

I was in Manila last October 20 until 6:30 A.M. of October 24 and I will be telling you what happened in that span of time.

Day 1:

Woke up 5:00 A.M. to prepare for my flight 5 hours after. I just brought my laptop, phones, toiletries, 1 pants, 1 pair of shoes and 3 clothes including the ones that I wore with me and fitted it in my laptop backpack and a small luggage. Ate my all time favorite breakfast meal at the airport, Tocino with 2 Sunny Side Ups with fruits as sidings and Pineapple juice.

I then proceeded to the check-in counter, gave the requirements; I.D., the Ticket and the credit card, I was not worried until the ticket-guy told me i brought the wrong credit card, I panicked....a little, i asked the ticket-guy what can i do and he said that he just needed the correct credit card number, so i called my mom and the last person i wanted to answer the phone just answered the phone *sighs* and told me, "You do not have enough balance to make this call". Good news is i have extra load on my extra phone, i made the call, got the correct credit card number, *imma tell the story fast* checked-in, waiteeeeeeeeed, boarded the plane, sleeeeeeeept, landed, went to my cousin's place, went to my place, freshened up a little, sleeeept, *funny story here*, and slept again.

Day 2:
I thought it was just a normal day, woke up late in the afternoon, did some school stuffs, I've wanted to go to Eastwood but but you know, unexpected things pops up every fvcking  time. *INSERT MANY NORMAL UNNECESSARY THINGS HERE*. I was almost 7 that night, i am laying in my bed enjoying the sound of music until suddenly i texted my MedTech mates i wanted to see them and then you know just have a good time. We went to Tomas Morato and just had a really good time, they were going to Boracay early morning the next day but they stayed until 2:00 A.M. of......

Day 3:
So me and my MedTech mates stayed up until 2:00 A.M. in the morning, we went home after we ate  our McDonalds sundae which we were craving for after having a good drink. Arrived at 2:30 A.M., *insert story* and then slept until 12 P.M., That day, luckily, Ivy planned out a Saturdate so I went to her "amazing clutter", she is watching a movie when i arrived then we decided to order pizza and watched "I Spit On Your Grave" starring by that bitch writer who went out by herself to "write" and then was raped and made her artistically-stomach turning revenge to the perpetrators after that we talked and listened to music, get prepared and went to Gaylord's "amazing clutter", chatted for a while and we went to Midnight Mercato. This is surely the only thing that will not be gone when SMILES are together: Food Tripping.
This is what we ordered plus Gaylord's lechon manok and some take out.
So the day ended when we went home to our amazing clutters.

Day 4:
I went to Eastwood that day with my cousin and her boyfriend, we planned to watch Paranormal Activity 3 at Eastwood Citywalk, I bought my Cocoa with Rocksalt and Cheese and NYFD as snacks then watched the movie, it wasn't scary but it will shock you so bad you will curse the hell out of yourself. In the movie house i was surrounded by lovers, on my right side was my cousin hugging her boyfriend, on my left side was couples holding hands and they were both guys, in front of my was hugging couples again and i didn't look back because i was afraid to see what they were doing *laughs*. After the movie we ate our dinner at Italliani's and ordered some of my favorite food there.
Italianni's Spinach & Artichoke Formaggio
Angel Hair Pomodoro, Sicilian Chicken Salad and Squash Soup
The food is amazing by the way especially the formaggio and the salad (all time fave), the pasta is really delicious too, and now i'm planning to eat all the food listed in their menu just what i did to Burgoo.

7hrs of Day 5:

It's beautiful to be alive. It's wonderful to live a life. #nowplaying
I planned not to sleep and just wait for 3:00 A.M. that day to prepare for my flight, went to the airport at 4:30, checked in, ate breakfast at Ya Kaya Kun Toast, boarded and voila I'm back in GenSan.

I did not went home directly btw, i went to our Alma Mater with SMILES but that is a different story.

Book | 8 Novels Part II

This is Part II of my 8 Novels Saga

I blogged Part I a few days ago, you can read it at the link provided above. This second part will be about 1 of the 8 novels that kept me busy during my precious breaks, weekends and free-time. The book really sparked my interest because the story is about aliens and life outside Earth and these kind of things really makes me curious and you know one of my favorite TV shows is Ancient Aliens at History Channel and subjects related to this UFO and Alien thingy is really interesting, did i also say that these are really interesting? Like super interesting? Ok, enough of this.

May I present to you,
The Lorien Legacies Book 2:  The Power of Six
written by Pittacus Lore.

This book is the sequel of one of the famous novels last year which also has a film adaptation, I Am Number Four, pseudonymously written by Jobie Hughes and memoir-fabulist James Frey. The book picks up the story where I Am Number Four ended and is narrated by the two Loric Aliens, Number Four (John Smith) who is still on the run with Number Six, Bernie Kosar and Sam after they destroyed their school from the last book and Number 7 (Marina) who is hiding in a convent in Spain together with her Cepan, Adelina.

I felt the story was told a bit fast, a moment you were reading and they are in the kitchen and one page after that they are now in the car going to a mountain. There are inconsistencies in the transition of the story and a few grammar issues that was my concern also in the first book. I'm not good in English but i just noticed some holes in the grammar. Just read the book and you will know what i'm referring at. *I'm talking about grammar but i have also inconsistencies in grammar lol XDDD* The book answered some questions that was left hanging in I Am Number Four like the second ship that John Smith remembered while escaping the destruction of Planet Lorien and up to now i still do not know why the title is 'Power of Six'. I like how the author has put some many surprises and revelations and the book just strengthened my likeness to Number 6 who's name was Maren Elizabeth, I want her and Four to be together, not with that Sarah girl.

All in all, the Power of Six is good but not great.

Latest News: Third Book will be entitled, The Rise of Nine and will be out August next year.

Personal | Shrimps are Evil

Having asthma is not really bad, sometimes I feel special having it but of course you have things that you are not allowed to do and you have food that you are not allowed to eat and sadly those food are really good to look at you can't help yourself but.....eat. So yesterday, I woke up early for my early jog and I feel very refreshed and sporty *laughs* and after that I went home, rested for a while, took a shower, blow dried my hair and then slept.

*Blackout*

When I woke up again, that was probably 11:00 A.M., I really felt hungry and realized that I skipped breakfast because I was too sleepy. I went out of my room and smelled the most amazing scent of real food in 5 months, I knew there was some frying going on because I can smell the bread crumbs and i thought our yaya is cooking Breaded Pork Chop *typing it makes me hungry* AND it was not Breaded Pork Chop *i feel hungry, damn you breaded pork chop, and again, FUUUUUUUUUU!*......MOVING ON!
So it was not the food I thought about when i went there to check it, it was 10000000000x more amazing than Breaded Pork Chop *sighs*. I saw our yaya cooking those majestic helpless shrimps covered in glittering bread crumbs that makes my tummy *GRRRRRRROOOOOAAAARRRR*.

I knew I was not allowed to eat shrimps but I'm not worried because I ate 15 shrimps in the past and nothing happened, so I broke my record and ate TWENTY-FOUR shrimps, nothing happened at first but then those creatures did their black magic slowly but surely, at first I had difficulty in breathing but i did not mind because I have colds that time, and then I feel itchy and I immediately know there is something wrong, and then I am experiencing short breaths and you know the typical asthma symptoms etc.. etc.. *tentenenenenenen* My savior arrived, Super Inhaler, it eased my breathing problems but not the allergies. My mom scolded me *cries* but of course i blame myself for eating too much majestic helpless breaded shrimps.

These  shrimps are just so cute and helpless on the outside but so evil once they penetrate your digestive system. And I'm never gonna eat 24 shrimps again, 24=My Limit, Shrimps=Evil.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED.

Book | 8 Novels Part I

This will be part one of four of my 8 Novels Saga.

I really find time to read novels last semester even with my tight and busy schedule. Reading novels is like my guilty pleasure next to maybe.....eating and watching movies. So I've read 8 novels in a span of 5 months, reading in between breaks, free time, weekends or just read to kill time. The first 5 novels that kept my interest up to the last word were:

THE SECRETS OF THE IMMORTAL NICHOLAS FLAMEL SERIES
written by Michael Scott.

I've read all the 5 published books and I have blogged about the first book The Alchemyst, the second book was entitled The Magician and is pertaining to the antagonist of the series, Dr. John Dee, the third one, The Sorceress, referring to the wife of the immortal, Perenelle Flamel. The fourth installment entitled The Necromancer is Josh Newman being tricked by Dr. John Dee and the latest book which is The Warlock - the oath-breaker - of the title refers to a character who has made the biggest change, the biggest decision and acts out of character. And that is Niccolo Machiavelli. The final book which will have the title, The Enchantress will be released May next year.

The series is all about the adventures of fifteen year old twins Sophie and Josh Newman who were one day a pair of normal American teenager working on their summer jobs and just in a snap had their views about the world and especially themselves changed. Every book unfolds a new story and gives us new characters to love and hate, as the series progresses, we can see the change in personality of the main characters especially the prophesised twin, Josh and Sophie as they fight through life and death to seek the truth, and save the world from total chaos and destruction against the Dark Elders. All these event happened because of one ancient book written by Abraham the Mage named The Codex. Which path will conquer at the end? Who will destroy or save the world? Silver or Gold?

Personal | Semestral Break 2011 4th.

It's the 5th day of my break and i'm really busy getting fat, and i have like 25 days left to get fatter even more but nevertheless I'm  really enjoying this "Juan Tamad Life" I have now. 1st semester was really, really, really challenging that is why I will be making a separate blog for it but now i will tell you what happened yesterday:

October 12, 2011

Yesterday was one of my most awaited day of this year, the day I will be going home *at last*, after 5 long months of enduring and waiting *sobs*.  Booked a flight at Cebu Pacific months before the scheduled departure, you see I'm not that excited to go home. I packed my things up the day before and went to the airport at 3:15 A.M., too early, ayt? My classmate texted me that they were at the airport too waiting for their flight bound for Kalibo that is why I rushed and went to the airport early hoping to see them.

*fast forward*

At the airport: I was too late too see them before they checked-in, so i waited for a while before the passengers for General Santos City were allowed to check-in already, so i ate my early breakfast which was Seafood Ramen, so yummy! and after that i checked-in and went as fast as i can to Gate 134. I was able to see my MedTech mates before they departed, chatted them, for a while and took a picture with them. When they boarded the plane already, i was left alone *cries* so i decided to sleep first while waiting for my boarding time, when i woke up after an hour i saw our Governor, i thought i was imagining but it is really him. i wondered why would a governor ride a not so expensive flight, that was so down-to-earth of him. Then i heard,

"Flight 5J 994 bound for General Santos City now accepts passengers for boarding."

Boarded the plane and slept the whole duration of the flight. The plane landed at 9:17 A.M., got my luggage and went outside and saw my Mom waiting for me *i missed her so much* then we went home after. Lunch was amazing, I've tasted real food after 5 months and then you know what i did, i slept. After I woke up, i found out that our Wi-Fi connection is not working *bummer* so i plan to buy a new router if i have time. Spent my time with my brother and sister the whole night, we ate *sigh* a lot. Tuna and Bacon sandwiches plus doughnuts then we went to sleep early. so that ends my day yesterday.

Ciaossu!
